For over six years, we at Handcrafted Movement have been dedicated to creating beautiful pieces of living art—building tiny houses for our buyers to call home. We love seeing the journey of many families, couples, and individuals leave the status quo of traditional housing, and pursue the affordability and sustainability of the tiny home lifestyle. We have seen many of our buyers use their tiny tomes as a way to invite others in to experience small-space living, and earn an extra source of income. As the demand this summer is rapidly increasing for local travel, we are excited to be partnering with Airbnb to highlight how hosting Handcrafted Movement Tiny Houses can create financial and personal opportunities.

We have seen our tiny homes become a vehicle for financial flexibility by using Airbnb to become a Host of their space. For one of our past tiny home customers, “The income Mom and I generate from hosting our Handcrafted Movement tiny home on Airbnb is reasonably healthy, but more importantly it helps us live life the way we want to live it. The listing itself (aside from the income) gives us truly unique lifestyle options. For me, it's having a place in Portland, OR that I visit every summer to escape the 120-degree nonsense that is Phoenix, AZ—I'm a 31 year old "snowbird".

This has opened up the opportunity for our customers and many more to turn that treehouse your dad built back in the 90s, or your backyard camper or RV into a high-demand space for weekend staycationers. Especially with  travel being limited due to the pandemic, unique accommodations are now more popular than ever. Not only is the demand rising for unique stays, but the up-front cost of purchasing and setting up a tiny home to host on Airbnb is only a fraction of the cost compared to traditional housing. This provides an opportunity for people to host with less capital, and give them more financial flexibility and freedom.

Our team will soon be sharing some exciting updates, so stay tuned for our next posts where we will highlight stories of successful Hosts of Handcrafted Movement tiny homes and insightful tips and tricks for getting started as an Airbnb Host!

Whether you are looking to earn extra income in the next few months, or are passionate about sharing your unique space with others in your community, hosting a Handcrafted Movement tiny home opens opportunities for all.
